What our guarantee actually means
Plenty of companies write “guarantee” and leave it at that. Ours is specific, so you know what you are buying.
- If the treated nest is still active after 14 days, and wasps are visibly flying in and out of the same opening, we come back.
- The return visit is free.
- It applies to the nest we treated. A new nest somewhere else is new work, because a queen can start a nest anywhere.
What to do until we arrive
Leave the nest alone. Do not spray it, do not block the entrance and do not knock it down. A blocked nest makes wasps look for another way out, which is often into your house. A disturbed nest makes them defensive.
Keep your distance and keep children and pets away from the flight path. Close the windows in the room nearest the nest.
Do not use a supermarket spray on a nest you cannot see into. It rarely reaches the nest itself and it makes our job harder.

Where wasps nest in Dutch houses
After twenty years we can usually guess before we arrive.
Under the roof tiles near the gutter. By far the most common. The entrance hole is small and the nest sits half a metre further into the cavity.
In the cavity of an attached shed or extension. The wasps go in through the ventilation grille. Typical of Dutch post-war terraced houses.
Behind the fascia board of a dormer window. Common in pre-war and 1930s houses in Amsterdam, Haarlem and the Gooi.
In the ground. In an embankment, under a hedge or in an old molehill. These are the nasty ones, because you do not see them until you are standing on top of one with a lawnmower.
Wasp, hornet, bee or bumblebee?
We only treat wasps and hornets. Honey bees and bumblebees are useful and we leave them alone; if that is what you have, we will tell you and help you find a beekeeper. That call costs you nothing.
The European hornet looks alarming but is much calmer than its reputation. The Asian hornet is an invasive species and has to be reported to the authorities. If you are not sure what you are looking at, send us a photo on WhatsApp.

What does it cost?
A fixed € 85 all-in per nest. No call-out fee on top and no VAT surprise. A second or new nest counts as a separate treatment.
How quickly can you come?
Often within 24 hours in the season. If it is urgent, say so when you book and we will see what is possible the same day.
Will you have to drill or break anything?
No. We work without breaking into walls or roofs.
Is it dangerous for my children or pets?
We treat the nest, not your garden. Keep everyone indoors during the treatment and stay away from the area for the rest of the day. We will tell you exactly how long.
Can you invoice my landlord?
Yes. Tell us when you book and we will send the invoice to the landlord or the property manager.
